How Much Are Chase Points Worth? 10,000 to 200,000 Points in Dollars (2026)

•

100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points are worth $1,000 as cash, about $1,500 on a Points Boost booking, and about $1,750 transferred to an airline or hotel partner for a good award. The gap between those numbers comes from one decision: how you redeem.

Here is the dollar value of every common balance, with the conditions for each column. The per-point values are the same ones our Chase points calculator uses, so the table and the tool always agree. CardSavvy is uncompensated and has no affiliate relationship with Chase.

125,000 $1,250 $1,875 $2,188
150,000 $1,500 $2,250 $2,625
200,000 $2,000 $3,000 $3,500

Only the cash column is guaranteed. The other two depend on the card you hold and on the booking you make, as explained below.

What each column means

Cash (1.0 cent). Cash back, a statement credit, a deposit to a bank account, gift cards, and Chase Travel bookings without a boost all pay 1 cent per point on every Chase card. Pay Yourself Back also pays 1 cent unless your account shows a current offer for more. This is the number to use when you budget.

Points Boost (1.5 cents). Since June 2025, Chase Travel pays more than 1 cent only on bookings Chase marks as boosted. On the Sapphire Reserve, boosts go up to 2 cents on select flights from United, LATAM, Emirates, Air Canada and EVA. On the Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred, the ceiling is 1.75 cents on select premium-cabin flights and 1.5 cents on select hotels. Only a small share of flights carry a boost, so most portal bookings still pay 1 cent. The 1.5-cent column assumes you find one.

Transfer (1.75 cents). Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve and Ink Business Preferred points transfer 1:1 to 14 airline and hotel partners. 1.75 cents is our benchmark for a good award, not a floor: a bad award can be worth less than cash, and an excellent one passes 2 cents. World of Hyatt is the most consistent partner, at about 1.8 cents on hotel awards. Our transfer partners guide ranks all 14.

Which card you need

You hold Best available value
Sapphire Reserve Transfers, or Points Boost up to 2.0¢
Sapphire Preferred or Ink Business Preferred Transfers, or Points Boost up to 1.75¢
Freedom Unlimited, Freedom Flex or Ink Cash only 1.0¢

Chase lets you move points from a Freedom or Ink Cash card to a Sapphire or Ink Preferred card in the same household. If you hold both, your Freedom points are worth the Sapphire values. If you hold only a Freedom card, every point is worth 1 cent.

Avoid paying with points at Amazon or PayPal checkout. Those redemptions pay 0.8 cents, so 100,000 points become $800 instead of $1,000.

Points from before October 2025

Some cardholders still have points that redeem at the old fixed Chase Travel rate: 1.5 cents on the Sapphire Reserve and 1.25 cents on the Sapphire Preferred. That rate applies only to points earned before October 26, 2025, by cardholders who applied before June 23, 2025, and it ends October 26, 2027. At 1.5 cents, 100,000 of those points are worth $1,500 on any Chase Travel booking, boosted or not. If you have legacy points, use them before the 2027 deadline. The calculator has a toggle for them.

What common sign-up bonuses are worth

Sign-up bonuses are where most people first see a large Chase balance. A 60,000-point bonus is worth $600 in cash, and a 100,000-point bonus is worth $1,000. At a 1.75-cent transfer value, the same bonuses are worth $1,050 and $1,750.

Count the bonus at the cash value when you compare cards. That keeps the comparison fair against cash-back cards, whose bonuses pay exactly what they say. If you are sure you will transfer to Hyatt, the higher number is real for you. Our guide on how to value credit card points explains why we start from the floor.

Should you transfer or take cash?

Transfer when you have a specific award in mind that beats 1.5 cents after taxes and fees. Take cash when you don't. Points sitting in your account earn nothing, and Chase has lowered redemption values before: the June 2025 Points Boost change cut the Sapphire Reserve's guaranteed portal rate from 1.5 cents to 1 cent.

To check an award, divide its cash price, minus any taxes and fees you pay on the award, by the number of points. A $600 flight that costs 30,000 points plus $6 in taxes is worth ($600 − $6) / 30,000 = 1.98 cents per point. That beats cash by a wide margin. A $200 hotel night for 25,000 points is worth 0.8 cents, so you should pay cash and keep the points.
