Our Promise: Unbiased, Math-First Recommendations
In the world of credit card websites, there is a dirty little secret: The advice you read is often shaped by the commission the website earns.
If Card A pays a $200 commission and Card B pays $50, guess which one gets the "Editor's Choice" badge?
At CardSavvy, we reject this model. We built this platform because we wanted a tool that worked for us—not for the banks.
Here is our commitment to you.
1. The Math is Blind
Our algorithms optimize for one variable only: Your Net Value.
When we run the numbers on your spending, the code does not know (or care) which issuers have affiliate programs. It doesn't know which cards are "sponsored." It simply calculates:
Total Rewards Value - Annual Fees = Net Value
If a smaller credit union card beats a major bank's premium card for your specific spending profile, we will recommend the credit union card. Period.
2. Agnostic Recommendations
We are building CardSavvy to be agnostic. This means our recommendations are completely separated from any future advertising or monetization opportunities.
- We do not accept payment to "boost" rankings.
- We do not exclude cards because they don't pay us.
- We do not manipulate point valuations to favor specific partners.
Our database includes cards from all major issuers, regardless of whether we have a business relationship with them.
3. Transparency is Non-Negotiable
If we ever include affiliate links in the future (to help keep the lights on), they will be clearly marked. More importantly, the presence of a link will never alter the math.
You will always see the raw numbers: the fees, the earning rates, and the assumptions we make. If you disagree with our valuation of a point (e.g., 1.5 cents vs. 1.0 cent), you can toggle it in your settings. We give you the controls, not a black box.
4. Legal & Ethical Compliance
We adhere to strict standards of financial publishing.
- No Financial Advice: We provide mathematical analysis based on publicly available data and your inputs. We are not financial advisors, and our results are estimates, not guarantees.
- Issuer Compliance: We respect the terms and trademarks of all card issuers. "Chase," "Amex," "Citi," and others are trademarks of their respective owners.
- Accuracy: We strive for 100% accuracy in card data (fees, rates, benefits). However, issuers change terms frequently. We promise to update our data as fast as possible, but you should always verify terms on the issuer's application page.
Our "North Star"
We believe that if we build a tool that actually helps you maximize your money, you'll trust us. And trust is more valuable than any single referral commission.
So go ahead, run the optimizer. The results you see are the cold, hard, unbiased math. Just the way it should be.
