About CardSavvy

Math-first credit card optimization, built by an engineer who got tired of spreadsheets.

About the Creator

I hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and have spent my career in aerospace and tech, deploying modern machine learning systems at scale. I apply that same engineering rigor to my personal finances. CardSavvy began as a spreadsheet I built for myself because I wanted clear break-evens and honest net value, not hype. Today, it's a free web app designed to help anyone make smarter, data-driven decisions about which cards are actually worth it.

How CardSavvy Works

1

Input Your Spending

Enter your estimated monthly spend across key categories like dining, travel, and groceries. No need to connect your bank accounts—just accurate estimates are enough to power the model.

2

We Run the Math

Our engine calculates the real value of every point and mile based on current market data, not inflated marketing claims. We rigorously account for annual fees, applicable credits, and reward multipliers to find your true "effective annual cost."

3

Get the Bottom Line

See a clear, ranked list of cards based on Net Expected Value. We show you exactly where the numbers come from—break-even points, return on spend, and total profit—so you can decide with confidence.

Our Philosophy: Math First

The credit card industry is filled with noise—flashy marketing, limited-time offers, and confusing point valuations. It's easy to get overwhelmed.

At CardSavvy, we take a different approach. We don't just tell you which card is "popular" or which one pays us the highest commission. We built an engine that runs the numbers for you.

By analyzing your specific spending habits and financial goals, we mathematically determine the optimal card strategy to maximize your net value.
