How the Rapid Rewards conversion works
Dollar value equals points multiplied by cents per point, divided by 100. Southwest prices awards dynamically, so the calculator uses a conservative 1.2-cent flight estimate and a 1.1 to 1.7-cent range. A live cash fare and award quote are the best inputs for a specific trip.

Methodology and sources
CardSavvy compares the reward value against the cash fare the points replace. Taxes and fees that remain payable on an award are not point value.
