CardSavvy Premium Is Now Free for Everyone

Starting today, everything on CardSavvy is free. The features that used to require a $79/year Premium subscription (the Credit Health Dashboard, the Card Simulator, Wallet Simplification, transfer partner valuations, the signup bonus tracker, and the Chase 5/24 tracker) are now included with every free account.

There is no trial to start and no payment method to enter. The full feature list is on the pricing page, which now shows a single number: $0.

What just became free

Credit Health Dashboard. Premium cards ship with coupon books: dining credits, travel credits, streaming credits. This dashboard computes what those credits are worth to you, based on a two-minute quiz about how you actually use benefits, and flags cards whose fees outrun their realistic value. It also catches overlapping credits across cards, which is where multi-card wallets quietly leak money.

Card Simulator. Before you apply for a card, simulate it. The optimizer runs your real spending with and without the candidate card and reports the net dollar difference, after fees. You get a number instead of a vibe.

Wallet Simplification. The reverse question: which card should you cancel or downgrade? Most sites will not answer this because cancellations do not pay commissions. Our solver has no such conflict.

Signup bonus tracker. Minimum spend requirements, deadlines, and a daily pace target so a $4,000-in-90-days requirement does not sneak up on you.

Chase 5/24 tracker. Add the cards you have opened in the last 24 months and see exactly where you stand before your next Chase application.

Transfer partner valuations and history comparison. Cents-per-point values for major transfer partners, plus a trend view of how your wallet's net value has changed across optimization runs.

Why we removed the paywall

Two reasons.

First, the practical one: CardSavvy is not taking in revenue right now, from subscriptions or anything else. We could have left the paywall up and collected nothing behind it. Giving the features away is strictly better for you and costs us little, since the tools run on the same solver that already powers the free optimizer.

Second, the philosophical one: the paid tier gated tools we want people to use. A 5/24 tracker behind a paywall helps nobody decide anything. The whole point of math over marketing is that the math should be available when you are making the decision, and decisions do not wait for billing cycles.

CardSavvy remains uncompensated today: no ads, and no affiliate commissions on the cards we recommend. If that ever changes, we will disclose it clearly, and it will never change what the solver recommends.

What this costs you

An email address, if you want the trackers and dashboard (they need somewhere to save your data). The optimizer itself still works with no account at all.

We still never ask for bank logins or card numbers. Every tool runs on spending estimates and card lists you type in yourself, which is also why there is no sync to break and no credentials to worry about.

Quick decision guide

You have 3+ cards and premium annual fees: start with the Credit Health Dashboard. Take the two-minute quiz so the credit valuations match how you actually use perks.

You are thinking about a new card: run the Card Simulator before you apply. If the net number is small, your 5/24 status may matter more than the earn rates.

You suspect you have too many cards: Wallet Simplification will tell you which fee is not earning its keep.

You just want the best card for each purchase: the Best Card picker answers that in one screen, no account needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is every CardSavvy feature really free now?

Yes. The Credit Health Dashboard, Card Simulator, Wallet Simplification, transfer partner valuations, signup bonus tracker, Chase 5/24 tracker, and historical comparison are all included with a free account. There is no trial and no paywall.

What happens if I was on a Premium trial?

There is no longer a trial to expire. Your account keeps every feature, and no payment method is needed.

Will CardSavvy stay free?

It is free today. If that ever changes, we will announce it plainly and in advance. Nobody gets silently charged, and compensation never changes the math behind a recommendation.

Do I need to link a bank account?

No. CardSavvy never asks for bank logins or card numbers. Everything runs on the spending estimates and cards you enter yourself.
